This stuff slowed my Land cruiser from burning oil.

Synthetic still reduces friction wear, regardless of the weather. However, I take your point that if the car is just burning up the oil, you might as well use the cheaper stuff. Like you. I also think it's odd that the car just suddenly started burning oil, and I think that should be looked into.

Thank you TARKUS I will use that high Milage oil on my next oil change for now I'll just keep an eye on my oil level since I put conventional back in tho when I changed from the synthetic I noticed that it was really dirty with only 1800 miles on the oil is that normal? Maybe it was all the crap build up on the engine I'm not mechanically inclined but I don't see any leaks underneath or around the motor either
