Will insurance companies ban Mustangs on public roadways next?

Mustangs/Camaros crash all the time. It's tradition* :þ . It happens every generation of the pony cars. The problem is they are powerful enough to smoke the tires and priced cheaply enough that non-gearheads can afford them. Not a good combo, and those new Mustangs have pretty good power. That being said, the new Mustangs do not seem to do well in a crash. If you look at the aftermath pics of the red one hitting the Dodge, its roof badly deformed. That was not a big crash to do that much structural damage.

*I have to admit I slid one of my Camaros into a curb.

Yet my Yaris is $20 more expensive to insure than a Camaro of the same year.

Do you have an immobilizer? That may make a big difference if theft is an issue in your area.
