Personally, I'm shackled with the need for both reliability/quality AND aesthetic/driving appeal in my car choices, along with subcompact/compact stature (and preferably hatchback) - so my choices are next to zero presently. There literally isn't a new car out there currently, using my personal criteria, that I would want other than a Yaris SE (which isn't perfect either). All the others have either reliability/quality going for them OR aesthetic/driving appeal, OR neither (at least in my eyes).
If you don't want another 2015/2016 Yaris SE (understandable, since you already have one), then hold off and see what the new 2017 Yaris Hatch brings (hopefully not a fugly hatchback iA), or the 2017 Corolla refresh (the current one is fugly). There is also the new Toyota C-HR coming in 2017, which is a funky little compact crossover hatch. I haven't decided yet if I like the look of it or not.
