Many years ago I lived in an apartment complex where the manager owned a Corvette. She had all kinds of security devices on it, but one morning the parking spot where it was sitting was vacant. Turned out the thieves found a way to steal it without ever breaking into it. I won't say how it was done, but it proves that if criminals really want your car, they're gonna find a way to get it!

Article says they stole Jeep and Dodge vehicles. Chrysler cars, and only Chrysler cars, have been in the news a lot lately regarding their vulnerability to hacking. I think maybe it's just a Chrysler thing...

I'll bet it was a C4. A very well-known trick was to drill a hole in the body near the battery, which drilled INTO the battery, which then drained the battery acid, which killed the battery and of course the alarm went dead.
