Next idea---> If added, will the audio buttons on the steering wheel work? Are they also just "plug and play"?

That's more of a case of having to replace the steering wheel. It also depends on the radio rssponding to the inputs.

Here in Australia, the regular asking price for a Yaris wheel with the audio buttons is around $150 Without the air bag. If you're going to spend that sort of money, you probably want to find one with the extra buttons to answer a bluetooth connected phone.
