Well, they claim it's stainless steel. Not knowing much about ss, I bet there are different quality grades. If so, I expect this would be one of, if not, the cheapest grade. And, yes, it may well prove to be a throwaway item. I'll try to remember to follow up with future posts about how it fares in the elements.
