Toyota Yaris iA vs. Mazda CX-3

The CX-3 would have easily sold 5x+ more units if it was a rebranded Toyota instead, since they have more dealerships, more exposure, and more brand-loyal customers. Heck, if Toyota customers will buy a fugly C-HR, iA or Prius/Prius-C, they will literally buy anything with a Toyota logo on it.

Most people aren't very informed about much of anything outside of their personal little bubble reality, so I doubt that even 5% of them know that the iA is actually a rebranded Mazda2. They probably believe that they are buying a 'real Toyota' if someone doesn't educate them prior to purchase.

I would have rather seen the current Mazda2 hatch being sold at Mazda dealerships in NA than the CX-3. The CX-3 looks weird & cartoony (though not nearly as much as the C-HR), and the fat black plastic body molding/trim common with Crossover/SUV styling (& now even the Prius C) just looks cheap as hell.
