How long did it take to change the battery?

I don't know how long the ECU memory holds up for once the battery is disconnected, but most battery installers here use these devices to avoid having to put the security code into the car radio.

Maybe an hour from removal, travel to and from the store, and the actual installation.

I changed my battery yesterday and my car won't start anymore. How do I get the security code? And do I enter it in the radio?

The talk of security code in this case refers to a theft deterrent measure of the radio itself. Some radios, when disconnected from power, will require a security code entered into it in order for it to function again. Has nothing to do with a car that will not start.
