As noted, 2ZR swaps in pretty elegantly - all those threads are good reads too.
For the 2ZZ, it has been done as well, but from a quick re-read did require some more fabrication, and the OP was using a different base vehicle (i.e. not a 1NZ): http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53132 There's also this thread: http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13244, but is a lot of discussion, and not documenting the build. I did a 2ZR in my 3rd gen. and other than some teething issues (which are mostly sorted now) and an annoying exhaust, it's peppy and makes for a fun little drive.  -- Adam |
