If Toyota thought that there was a decently-sizable market for it (in terms of profit) then they would release it here. Unfortunetly (& sadly), the U.S. is the land of abundant muffin-tops driving their SUV/Crossover vehicles & Trucks. They would never pay $30-40K for a subcompact "Yaris" performance car - even if they could actually fit into them.

absolutely right. And honestly, I doubt I'd buy it. It would be hard to justify with 3 kids and a dog.

You can get a nice gently used Benz for 30-40k. I actually seen a low mileage 2008 s550 amg for 32k yesterday. And I'll even bet at 8400 lbs, it's faster.

It may be faster, but who wants an overpriced vehicle you can’t service yourself with terrible resale and reliability record?
