Can you ask your guy if he can make a spacer for 1NZ to a 2AZFE. I saw this video of a guy who installed a TB from a 2.4l. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKjVH_hz6ZA
I can buy it immediately if he can do it. Thanks

In the video, they measured the back of the 2.4L TB at 55mm, the back of the 1ZZ TB that I'm using is 56mm, so 1mm bigger. I didn't use the spacer yet as the plate is too thick for the mounting studs. I'm not sure if I can unscrew them an replace them with longer bolts. Also, the measurements for the of the mounting holes in the diagram are too big for the mounting studs, I think they should be 6mm instead of 8mm, which could make the plate go off center. You can easily remedy that by wrapping tape around the bolts. I just got back from a short deployments, so I'll see if I can mess with it again this weekend an put the plate.

BTW, the idle adjustment Allen screw stripped on me, I remedied it by pounding a T10 torx driver, I lined up the corners with the pointy part and it fits perfectly, I put blue locktite so it doesn't move on it's own. I've adjusted the idle speed by letting the car warm up until the temp indicator is gone, turn off the car and pull out the key completely, back out the screw until it almost stalls and then screw it back in an eight of a turn until the engine is not sputtering. I don't have a tach reader to plug in the ODBII to check what the actually rpm is, but it works just fine. It still does rev high at cold start for about 15-20 seconds.

The flange where the axle back coupling of my muffler broke, so I have a bit of exhaust leak, but it made the car torquey and sound a bit louder. Hehehe... Combine that with the TB upgrade, the 1NZ responses a lot better.
