It looks like the dealership is using 10w40 because it can be used in slightly higher outside temperatures compared to 5w-30. Here is what I looked at.
https://www.motorstate.com/oilviscos...a%2030%20grade. I would recommend that you look at what the temperatures for the two, and see if you want to use 5w-30, like the handbook says, or 10w-40, what the dealership has been putting in. |
