Hello, i just want to say to the people like me was searching a answer about the pioneer t10018 (scion fr-s radio ) to retrofit in a yaris 2007 and up , it's work like a charm with this 2 adapter :
Scion Antenna adapter cable, part number: PT546-00120-AD Scion 20+8 Pin to 28 Pin adapter cable, part number: PT546-00120-CH I dont have buy the mic and usb i go on another route than the op :) Thank |

Yes, the bluetooth streaming will work without the mic. There isn't a mic built into the head unit. In order for calling to work properly the microphone kit must be purchased. For those that want to follow the same: picked up the head unit itself on ebay for ~$160, then the two PT546-00120-AD and PT546-00120-CH from a local Toyota dealership for about $26 each. The Mic kit will run me $67 so I'm trying to decide if it's worth it for making & receiving phone calls. It's something I rarely do and still have the old battery powered bluetooth adapter on the visor I could use for just that purpose. I've read bad things about the voice quality on that expensive mic kit, too. If anyone has a different opinion then please let me know. The radio I got from ebay happened to come with the proprietary USB cable but I don't have anything to plug it into and I don't really stream things off USB sticks anyway. |
