I've looked online and I haven't been able to found an OBD tachometer that is JUST a tachometer. Most of them are HUDs that display RPM along with other information that I dont care about. Also the last HUD i tried had horrible latency.

I understand not wanting to touch the wiring and I only did it because I learned enough and trusted myself not to fk it up :D ofc there are lots of obd connected tachs but those like you experienced are very laggy and delayed with the tach information because it is through the obd. and I have yet to see a long lasting one that is affordable and efficient. That's why I decided to tap into the wires because I wanted instant feed back and it was worth it. everything I did was reversible esp since I only glued the tach with cheap double sided tape. The wiring is also removable but ofc there is always that lil bite mark where the connecters bit.
