from 8 cores = TDA7851

TDA7851 is quite the upgrade from TDA7388

On the amp chips how many watts does each put out? TDA7388 puts out 40wx4?

Not so much difference in 4 ohms, but 7851 can drive my 2.3 ohm JBL speakers way better.

The datasheet says:

TDA7388
 High output power capability:
– 4 x 45 W / 4  max.
– 4 x 26 W / 4  @ 14.4 V, 1 kHz, 10 %

TDA7851
– 4 x 48 W / 4  max.
– 4 x 28 W / 4  @ 14.4 V, 1 kHz, 10 %
- 4 x 72 W / 2  max.
