Actually what gave the Fit the advantage was the CVT transmission. I had one (Civic HX CVT) and it was slow off the line but right around 30-40MPH that thing would start kicking ass. Thats because it has reached the max torque RPMs and the CVT is changing gear ratios continuously to go faster, where all 5 speeds and autos need to shift gears back below the max torque range. Really bizarre that you are flooring a car and the RPMs stop at around 5500 but the car just keeps accelerating faster and faster. Strange but true. I wish they could make really strong CVT trannys for High HP engines. That would rock!
We don't have the CVT Fits over here in the US of A, so we can kick thier asses... I think.
