The "I" in VVTI stands for intuitive. This means the computer continuously adjusts (retards or advances) the ignition timing at all throttle settings and RPMs to maintain optimum engine performance and efficiency. A lot of people think it only works at full throttle and only at high RPMs. This is true of many of the older VVT engines, but not the VVTI engines. The intuitive part is very nifty. Keep in mind, salesmen typically know more about sales than they do about what they're selling ;0)
