I swap my rims out for the factory wheels in the winter - to keep them fresh, I'd rather not have them covered in sand, salt and all the other crap on the road during the winter. Plus - here in NY during the winter the ice breaks out big potholes in the road, and if you hit one good with a low profile tire, your probably gonna screw up a rim.

I have the DF tanabe's installed, and i didnt have a problem over the winter - if your careful and pay attention to where your driving if you drive on a plowed road, your ok, snow is packable and you may here it scraping along the lowest part of the car underneath you. But if its cold enough where it has frozen over in the road, and you dont avoid it, it will probably hit your bumper without much give and scrape up the underside of your car as well. just watch were your driving.
