Dyno numbers are not comparable between dynos.

Dude, if your pulley is not undersized, your flywheel and your pulley don't make any HP difference. IT will rev faster, but they dyno run will be done in 3rd grear where you will have lost the effect of a lighter flywheel. Its resisting the wheels, so it can measure the output.

Don't get me wrong, if 2 engines are putting out 100HP to the wheels, the one with the lighter pulleys and flywheel will be slightly quicker, and on a track, where you are coming out of 10-15 corners, it makes and even better difference! =)

FLAMERS: Correct me if I'm wrong... I've got thick skin... and back it up with dyno charts.

Adjustable fuel mapping would probably give 2-3 HP peak over stock ECU and Headers, pipes, intake.

The best thing it could do is turn that Mountain Range of a dyno chart into something resembling a proper power curve. I think this is a HUGE thing that is overlooked on this forum: POWER CURVE v. PEAK HP. If your curve is sloppy, who cares what a snap-shot of your peak HP is?

Even with a car with a self-adjusting ECU (remember, it operates within a pre-set range based on a model of economy, not all-out performance), the correction cannot be made (in the best way possible) to accomodate a new intake, header and exhaust.

If you look at a motorcycle, say a DUCATI, or even a GIXXER, you cand do a K&N filter for $65, a new carbon or Ti pipe for $500, and gain absolutley nothing but sound. It's not until you throw in the $349 power commander that you see some good gains... and we're talking 5HP.

So, if our car dynos around 80-84 FWHP(like the FIT), and you can spend $189 on headers, $199 on exhaust and $200 on an intake, you are getting 15-18HP at the wheels for $600. In terms of $$/HP, this is CHEAP!! Sign me up!!
