so if I understand this correctly I cannot do this cheap cruise control on european yaris ?
I have also the clutch switch installed from the factory since I have the start&stop system which uses that switch

have actually somebody from europe installed this cruise control ? what do you need to know to say that it cannot be done ?
thanks

That is correct - It will not work on a European one. The European service manual and EWDs have no documentation on cruise control. Your only option is an aftermarket cruise control system.

yes but it won't cost 10$ and now it will look too general :( this was more like you actually understand the electronics etc so you can show it to the friends and be proud on what you have done (with help of YW )

Hey all I haven't been keeping up on this post, or others for that matter :) I was without a computer for a while and am just now getting set back up. Anyway I'm glad to see that so many people are interested, or have already done their own Cruise Control. I am just here to say that I am one of the first to set mine up in this manner and it's been a little over a year. My cruise has been a life saver (foot saver rather) and i barely spent over 15 dollars (that's on the first setup with all parts sitting in my junk part piles) and now have updated it with a few OEM parts (clutch switch, ECU pin insert, etc) Also for those of you that want to have an even closer OEM look, I strongly recommend CTScott's LED module (if he's still selling them) for making your CC light an LED when it's switched on. I mounted my LED inside the gauge cluster and it looks bad ass :) Anyway I just wanted to let everyone know all is well with this setup and keep sticking it to the man HAHA!!

Very impressive nickhjort!

CTScott, do you still sell these indicator lights? If so, how can I purchase one from you? Also, where would I connect the wires if I'm installing an oem cruise control stalk on my 07 hatchback?

See this thread for links to the various methods of installing cruise:

I do still sell the indicator modules. I don't have any ready to ship at the moment, but can build one up if you are interested.

Just wondering if this CC kit would work on a Yaris? Seems pretty cool!

It would, but I am sure it's a whole lot more expensive than simply adding the stalk and wires to use the ECM equipped CC.

Expensive yes. But then again, there's always a price to pay for "stylish" features.

Hey all, I just wanted to thank everyone on this forum. I just did my install of the 4-Button CC. It works perfectly after a little troubleshooting. The only problem is that I just have the wire chillin' in the ECU. I have no idea how long it will stay there, but it stayed in on my 60 mile round trip to/from work. I do not wish to buy the real wire from Toyota, but I will if I must. But I was wondering something: I have a spare wiring harness adapter laying around with the pins kinda like the ones that go in the ECU (I assume), and I was wondering if I can seat those in the ECU for a permanent solution.

They need to be the exact same pins, otherwise the pin latch mechanism will not snap back into place. I sell the ECM pins (with about 2' of wire) for $5 shipped, which is a lot less than the dealer charges.
