One of the EE's in my office is looking to do this for his Taco' after I started telling him about yours... If yours is done already, I'll push him toward remote vent mount... I'm an ME, so this is all sparky stuff to me
It definitely should work on the 09 Tacoma. So far, all of the CAN messages I am using are either OBDII compliant or are Toyota enhanced messages (air to fuel ratio and fuel level for example).

Sad :(

I did design the hardware interface to be modular, and I have done HW/SW for the older OBDII standard, so once the CAN version is released, I may very well make a ISO9141 version or a combo version. A couple friends of mine really want the functionality of this for their Mazda, Subaru and Honda cars (most of which predate CAN).

Awesome thanks for the info Scott. God's speed on finishing it all up. If we were normal executives we would probably hate feature creeping however we are but humble customers and I for one am grateful for each gadget that gets added on.

I found out today that my boards are delayed for two weeks, due to the "Spring Festival" holiday in China (the board house that I use is over there).

Me too!

I paid for 1 day express shipping, which should have put them in my hands yesterday. I emailed my contact this morning to find out what the deal was, and he informed me about the holiday shutdown.

Scott- even my wife is looking forward to the Yargauge! I couldn't believe it today when she asked me when I'd be getting the gadget that tells us the outside temperature.

When wives who don't care much about cars start to want an aftermarket automotive item Scott you KNOW you have a winner!!!!!!!!

I just kind of picked up this thread now... Maybe sometime when I'm bored enough I'll read through it all -- unless someone wants to give a 17 page summary of events? lol There should be a rule about things like this...

17 pages = one sentence... and .... go:

CTScott is making an LED (LCD?) gauge display that replaces your OEM clock and gives you lots of data choices to read: rpm/tachometer, clock, and other functions, for about seventy five bucks.

page 12, post 209 has a good overview... if u start there and then read on to see that CTScott added AFR and fuel level and miles to empty over the next few pages.

CTScott, my man :) Count me in on this one

Tell me, will I be able to upgrade SW in this module to read TRC VSC status? You know, regarding my custom VSC switch for 2008 TS. That is the only model that can really use that feature, so I don't want you to include it in mass production version.

That might just be possible. I have recently figured out many of the status messages between the ECM and the other ECUs (ABS ECU, Power Steering ECU, SRS ECU, Body ECU, Combination Meter ECU, A/C ECU).

If you can get it to display ABS codes that would be awesome. Then I can see which wheel sensor is messed up so I can either clean or replace it.
