No biggy for me. I just ride to work and around town.....no real demands. I'm curious to see when or if this thing comes out and how it'll be configured.

Hi
I was driving the car as I was testing it for Toyota last Tuesday and also the new Toyota Avensis. The IQ drives great and itīs a 1,0 with 68hp. and a 1,4 D4D with 90hp. In June or so it will come in a 1,3 with 99hp., but itīs a eco engine so itīs not that fast for 99hp. Regards Steven. |

Well it looks like the car is coming to the U.S. as a Hybrid in 2012. I think that sucks, it would be better as a regular car due to cost and to get rid of that Smart a.k.a. Clown Car oh well. You can find out more about it at:

pink wheels are cool

the smart CAN be cool if you swap the engine and use it as a play toy
but yea this "green" movement is screwing everything up more crap thats going to break and cost more money to fix down the line |

Looks about right for my wife to run across town to work. Might be a tad intimidating on the highway with a semi on the rear bumper. At least it doesn't look like a telephone booth on wheels like the Smart which looks as if it would fall on it's face if the front brakes were locked.

I love it and I have never even seen one in person. If its as roomy as the Yaris, I might sell my Yaris and buy one.

Hi
Itīs a lot smaller inside than the Toyota Yaris. The passenger seat is a little bit closer to the front than the drivers side, for making more room for the rear seat passenger. There is space enough at the front seats, but the rear seat is real thin and not much space for legs etc. The trunk is almost not visible, only about 30cm-50cm. long. It drives very well and would be perfect for only one or two persons with no bagage. Regards Steven. |

if any varient of the U.S. bound vw polo is rated 40 mpg+, i will be all over it. this is what a hatchback should look like, and this is what a subcompact interior should look like in my world.. it (interior) doesnt have to be barren like the yaris or a hodge podge mess like the fit. can we just stick this interior into the yaris? ![]()

everything ive read indicated the 5 door will be here first and the 2 dr will come at a later date. as usual, we'll see how much they screw it up by the time it makes it to the n. american market.

Scion IQ is supposed to be unveiled on Wednesday, April 8 at 12:05 p.m. EDT at the New York Autoshow.... Most say it is likely to have the 1.5L from the Yaris under the hood.
.....Still not sure why the Yaris sedan and hb arent Scions yet
