This is unscientific, but I fill up my tank when the gauge has two bars left, and I am usually at 450km at that point.

My average fill up consists of 30-35 litres, and costs about $35 dollars.

After driving my yaris for 1 month I kept a log of my fill ups. I fill up on average every 10 days, and usually a full tank would last me 460km. Mind you, I fill up when it blinks on the last bar. I think when it is blinking on the last bar, I have about 7L left in the tank. That should be equivalent to about 80 more KM's if I run it dry. So I say a full tank would last me about 540kms. Not bad. A fill up for me is about $35CAD, when gas is around 95c/litre.

My last fill up lasted me 12 days before refilling. Depends how much I drive. Compared to my old 88 prelude, where I would fill up every week for sure. Now I spend around $80 on gas a month. I use to spend up to $200 before!

I love my yaris!

I've tried to run it dry once, and I was able to squeeze 613km.

The most I've ever gotten out of it is about 592km... Never been able to break that magic 600km mark.. although my brother once got 676km on one tank down to the flashing "last bar". He drives a lot better than me... as in to improve fuel economy instead of gunning it all the time.

I usually fill up after the last fuel gauge has started to flash or has flashed for a little while. When I actually go to the gas station, the trip meter usually shows somewhere between 560 to 630 km.

there... my first fill up....585km with 38.781L
that means 6.6L/100km for a very first tank.. and that's alot of city driving.. say 80%

I work 5 days/week, drive about 20km/day. And on weekends I go out. I fill up about once/week when I had my old Prelude. $45-$50 for full tank.

I don't have my Yaris yet, but will find out how good it is on gas. I would be really happy if I fill up once every 2 weeks under my same conditions. But am I dreaming?
Well, my other cars were a Merc 6.3 which guzzles alot of gas and uses premium and the cost of maintenance is quite alot more that the Yaris.
I also had a 300TE wagon which used up about $70.00 in fuel a week. Compared to the Yaris at $30. My 300 D diesel of course was the best for fuel at $25 in gas a week for the same distances traveled.

But the Yaris is fun to drive and that's what the drive is all about for me.
