I installed everything today so that, when I get the stalk, it's the last thing to do. Everything was very straightforward to this point. I just have to install the stalk and I will be in business.

Ok,
So...this a.m. I installed the new stalk before I went to work and it was surprising simple. It took me about 30 minutes as a first timer being extra vigilant of things. If I had to do it again....it'd take about 5 minutes. Anyhow, the fog lights are/were already hooked up and ready to go and the car came pre-equipped with the fuse in place. So, I installed stalk 84140-52151 and turned the lights on......golden. Everything works EXCEPT for the fog lights!!!! No lights and no indicator in the instrument panel. I have no idea why they are not on as everything is wired correctly. The only variable is the fact that I have my DRL's disabled but I don't think that this should cause a problem but I cannot say for sure. Any help or insight from somebody with experience would be great, thanks! |

Has anyone installed these foglights and used the rocker switch instead of the stalk replacement method? I see that it is easier to go with the stalk, but I am curious as to how much more difficult it is with the switch (I like the idea of having the switch to the side for some reason).
Coming up on owning my Yaris for a year and wanted to post for the first time after reading all the great threads. I am going to be buying the MicroImage Foglight set next week. Thank you in advance for the insight! |

Put the DRL module back in and it works like a gem. Thanks to CTScott for tipping me off! I love the fact that the fogs are a twist of the fingers and the cluster indicates they are on.....OEM is the way to go with this mod.

Micro Image Fog Lights
I was about to pull the trigger and pick up the Micro Image Fog Light kit, but wanted to see what was the level of expertise needed to install them into a 2008 Yaris Liftback?
Thanks in advance for anyone's opinion! |

my dealer charges 65$ an hour and they said it takes 2hours to install them...65$ x 2 = 130$ plus the kit 99$ (not from theme off course) 230$.. And they sell the whole kit installed for 500$..and taxes are not inclued in prices...
