im not sure what that means.....

anyways... you cant honestly believe that a Yaris can beat a M3 or a 350Z, can you?

claiming a 108hp Toyota to be faster than a 330hp M3 is ubsurd.

come on - admit it, putting out a car that does 0-60 in over 9 secs and then trying to pretend its a high performance vehicle is kinda dumb.

dont get me wrong - its a pretty car. just not a fast one.

Cheers
Εxactly.I have measured mine with the 1.3lt engine and it takes 10.3secs for 0-100km/h.

So, I think that there is something wrong with TS's accelleration.

I read on another thread that the reason the 0-60 is that high is because the gearing...but I don't know if that's true, just food for thought.

A 108 hp Toyota will beat an M3 on a course with enough turns. You just can't throw a 3,800 lb RWD sedan around a turn as fast as a 2,200 lb econobox riding on rails, and autocrossing is all about turns. A little bit under the hood at that point and you have a reliable 35+MPG daily driver that will bring you to the track on Saturday and spank cars that cost 50% more. Sounds like fun to me.

Yeap correct! At the TS, because of the close ratio gearing, you have to change up to third gear to reach 100km/h, so you lose time.

I'm sure we won't be getting this model. I really hope I have to eat my words, but I bet I won't.

I hope we don't. I don't want to go through the process of trading up, haha.

Honestly, I've seen too many people blow their cars up (literally) to be throwing a bunch of engine mods in my Yaris. Until my warranty is up, I am worrying about cosmetics and handling and little shit... exhaust, intake, etc. Then, MAYBE, when the warranty runs out it will be time for that ZPI turbo.

Cool... though there does seem to be more than enough space for a decent sized intercooler on top of the engine, with matching hood scoop... If done right that would looks badass!

Functional scoops are hot. A top mount intercooler would make that 600 dollar C-ONE CF hood look a lot better.
