I always hand-wash my car, since the cheap factory paint would likely all chip off if I ever took it into a car wash with spinning brushes!

My car wash uses humping masses of leather thongs.

I have no problem at my drive thru car wash but I prefer to do it myself. Like Yarisitis said, the antenna unscreews in a jiffy.

I've taken my car to an auto-car wash at least 5 times and its been fine.. I think they use those big brushes. I don't go in with the car. I haven't noticed any scratches either.

I was applying that Ice stuff (the legal kind) to my paint when I noticed the antenna was coming unscrewed so I tightened it. It might be worth checking from time to time lest you lose it altogether.

I prefer to hand wash. Plus, the car is pretty small compared to other cars/trucks, so it usually doesn't take much time
