Dont get yokohama avid touring s. I got those cheap at tirerack and they REALLY SUCK. When I put the winter snows in the front the car handled 100% better with firestone winterforce SNOWS. try discounttiredirect they usually have free shipping. On my Zuki aerio I had FALKEN ZEIX and they were very good and around 50 buck ea for +1 50 series. Also put pirelli p4 on the rav4 and that made a day and noght transformation; bettr ride handling and wear like titanium. The p4 are cool but look like cheap

The Goodyear LS and the RS is awful, I've owned both. Both had to be replaced at 35 to 40 thousand miles. Road noise was also horrible with these tires.
I then tried the Yokohama TRZ, big improvement. Road noise was down alot. And so far they still look great with 38,000 miles on them. The tire size is 185/60R15 on my Tracer. My Yaris currently has only 200 miles on it, its tires are still OK. Anyway, my 10-cents worth on Goodyears |

Figure it this way--
$125 x 4 tires = $500 Labor for mounting and ballancing (1.4 hours) $140 Wheel weights, tires tax, disposal $20 Alighnment $100 $760 + tax Labor at a dealership is always higher. Try to negotiate on the tire price. Bring a quote from somewhere else to see if they will match it. |

You can get a great high rated 80K tire for $60-$70 each. $140 to mount and balance? Most shops will do it for under $60. DiscountTire and Tirerack does it FREE with wheel purchase. Alignments' about right but many shops will do it for $80. |

Exactly. nobody charges $140 to mount and balance tires. Shit...I can't count the number of times Town Fair Tire has done it for nothing even If I didn't purchase the tires or wheels there!!!! No reason you can't get a good set of tires for $350 or so and have the whole changeover done, with alignment, for around $450 OTD. $780 is beyond laughable! |

sorry to bump an old thread, but I just put new tires on my 07 yaris sedan and only the 185/65r15s were in stock. I went with these and according to gps, my speedometer is dead on??? I guess it was way off with the original size?
btw, I bought the cheapest tire at discount tire....gt radial champiro vp1 @ $44 each, $265 otd. they are made in china, but had good reviews. I love the new tires so far, very smooth and quiet. |
