He did a good job on what he put there instead, but he saved no weight with it at all.
Just to show you exactly how it looks when nothing is in the back. ![]()

he also remove all the rear deck/spare tire cover too witch I'm not gonna do. so acaully my setup will look slightly different. But I see where you were goin with those pics. if all that left is just a tad of sheet metal showin, I can live with that....worse comes to worse I can get something to cover it. I just looked and I got star bolts.....actually more like felt to see but yeah

those bolts can be a pain. Take your time and make sure you have the right size. I stripped two of mine and had to got to a body shop to have them removed. I even went to a dealership but they couldn't do it.

I can't say I noticed a difference with the back seat out but who knows. Actually I noticed that you could hear the gasoline sloshing around in the back and that the road noise and exhaust was way louder in the cabin. I took everything out too. Except the seat belts. Recently put down some padding and carpet though and that cut down on the noise a lot.

i like hearing all the added road noise, it is just cool. I don't really notice the gas, but then again my radio is always on.

Looks nice. I still haven't picked up mine but has anyone ever thought of removing the back seat(s) and installing a custom lockable box (built with aluminum diamond plate and uphoslstered inside and out)? It would look basically look like a huge speaker box but it would actually be a locking trunk... And before anyone suggests that I just buy the sedan, I don't like four doors. Seems like the rear seats are too small anyway...

Yaristeve.....I'm sure alot have but most are doing this for weight reduction. Putting anything there would defeat the purpose. I was looking at trying to come up with something using say fiberglass just to flatten things up but I have to many other things going to get into that. So it sits as is for now.

I wonder if taking out a spare tire is much comparison to taking out a rear bench seat etc.
