It has since been replaced with a stiff factory OEM lip. As so:

I am curious where did you find the stiff OEM lip? Toyota Dealership?

Is it unique to 2009-2010 HB?

Thanks

I gotta be honest, I don't know the part number. I will do some digging though. I know it isn't exclusive to hatchbacks, or the '09+s but the reason I ended up with an OEM stiff replacement is because my car got hit on the front with the original bumper and HD lip that I had installed on that.

When I got the car back from the shop after the bodywork, it had the stiff replacement lip, so I sorta scored the OEM for free.

Thanks, man

Now you have a moral obligation to find the shop technician who worked on your car and torture him till he tells you where he got this thing from (serious issue considering no aftermarket lip is available for 2009-2011 model)

**Not Slow Speed Internet ready -> a few pics**

This is my "Home Depot" Lip DIY Version 2.0
(1 long garage door seal cut it half and sicked together upside down)

I used Double-side tape with plastic door trim cut flat and sicked it to the bottom of the lip edge to stiffen it.

Test Fitting to see how it looks

DIY Front Lip complete. ... I wonder though if vinyl lettering would stick to the rubber ... if it can maybe I will add a cool vinyl sticker to it.

I took the idea of this new style Lip from here:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1526863 (Credit goes to NASIOC Fourm user Mobutusan, for Front Lip Version II)

See where my Falkin logo is, I'm thinking of blacking out the white area there with black matte vinyl ?!? make the front look more agressive, what you guys think?
Next Project... DIY "Home Depot" style side skirts... might try paint the rubber as well, maybe plasti Dip spray paint will work!?!

Does the lip help fuel economy or is it just cosmetic?

Cosmetic, it might also save the bottom of your bumper if you bottom out.

I just used double sided tape similar from what the OP used and it is pretty stable. Been driving 60-80 on the freeway and it is still there. I also tested it by pulling the rubber and tape is holding it strong.

If you run over something on the free way, it might.

Nope.
If you use similar stuff like I did then you should be fine. I haven't used any screws and mine has stayed on for a long time. I've gone up to about 80, and even been in the rain and it's still there.
