I'm sure they will both repel water, but I wouldn't submerge the filter in a lake and take any chances...

yeah Im familiar with all three of them but currently im sitting like 2.5" off the ground so the filter could potentially be no more than 6-8" above the floor and Idk if I want to chance that.

nope...I'm gonna be persistent... the irony is I just bought a used cobb intake for the STi, which took less time/effort/money and the smiles per dollar is off the chart compared to what this will probably bring...
