Yea. Mine are totally functional also. I autocross at least once a month. I am not perfect so i hit the occasional cone at 30mph which i have replace my front bumper clips about 3 times too many already. My rear bumper is fiberglass and the oem clips are not used but the bumper has broken where i drill the screws to fastened the quarter panel and bumper. Its been sagging for a long time. Front bumper is held on with zip ties right now but i will fix that also when i order more from passwordjdm.

Also cars need to quickly remove bumpers to get on trailers. And to perform quick repairs on the fly at the track between runs. Just a few more reasons for quick release latches. They got popular in the car scene when drifters would remove their bumpers at drift events to practice.

Yup all reasons posted are true. My mistake I found mine at Lowe's and were called hasps. I have replica bumpers so fitment wasn't OEM and I discovered a broken clip on the rear from backing into another car 4 years ago. I really wanted to put my new rear on and already removed the old bumper so I was hell bent anyway. I had a old siphon mag issue with the tein yaris which has had clips which is where I got the idea. Also the shop that put the front on had glued my front on and the glue kept breaking and looked and fit terrible. The clips made it nice and flush plus looks good. Also it is a good conversation starter and I can talk about the yaris and what amazing potential the car has.

Hmm.. I like that.. $171... ouch.. Also those screws are not long enough to reach the other side of the bracket thru the fiberglass rear bumper. Also alot more cutting of the rear wheel quarter panel to fit that bracket behind it.. I am happy with my current setup but when the money really starts flowing, I will definitly be looking into this.

Its easy to get longer screws, but yes, you would be cutting a lot of material away.

Check with Pegasus Racing Parts, they always did us right, especially back in our Weber Carburator days. (Fuel/Air Jets)

Oh yeah, the rubber T-Handle type work great for holding trunks and hatches shut. Really good for Enduro Races, when you have a fuel cell with no external quick fill set up!!

thats a pretty good idea. also makes a body kit more desirable since you can easily fix the gaps. good find.

Hey Garm do u sell the clips that u had pictures for on Microimage? I want to get these for my stock bumpers for my 2012 SE trim for some reason the front bumper tends to pop out every once in a while by the headlights. I should post pictures soon to show what i'm talking about

I use Terry Race Springs, and just do a google search to find them, shouldn't be more then 15bucks for a pack of 2
