I do as well. The no self pump policy in New Jersey drives me nuts. On my last 'car' visit in 2013, IIRC I gave up playing 'start pumping myself because I have 'non northeast' plates and I don't know any better' guy

. Instead I tried to time my gas needs so that I could fill up in NY State (even though it cost more), CT, or (even better (cheaper)...when leaving the area) eastern PA near the NJ border.
Parts of New Jersey are quite beautiful...and they do have WAWA

(the best convenience stores in the country....only in 6 states)...but I would never want to live there. The cold winters, insane population density in many places, the way things are structured (insanely small, inefficient, revenue gouging fiefdoms the likes of which I have not seen in other states), the exorbitant taxes, and...the gas pumping policy
