Rig it up Asstek style!

Hey, good idea!

I'm commuting to an airport 87 miles away, every saturday and sunday. I could just as well be sleeping in the car!!

Questions...
would it hurt the engine running on idle for 8 hours straight? Its 90 degrees at night where I'm at, so I'd need some air conditioning! It would use maybe 2 gallons of gas, which is plenty cheaper than the cheapest hotel room in Mesquite ($65!).

Secondly, that tent looked sweet! But how could I use it while having the engine running without getting all the exhaust into the tent (which would kill me)?

I haven't got the Yaris yet....but can't wait!

This is a weird-ass thread!! Why get a new car to be homeless in? Why not get a mid-90s pick-up truck and a new Mac and still have $5k??

Anyhow, to each his own. The yaris lacks sound deadening (insulation) so it probably gets a little cold!!

Also, the Yaris has no toilet or shower facility. You could improvise, but you will run out of windscreen washer fluid quickly...
