I've did a horrible thing one night about 2 years ago.... I downloaded about 40 discographies off bit torrent... ended up with 40gigs of mp3's in under a week... gots TONS AND TONS of stuff.... 70% of which was stuff that was repeats like live or acoustic or remix of the studio recording... or I simply just didn't like...

I got rid of most of it.... but still have a tons of songs from sooo many genres that when ever i put stuff on my ipod.... its incredibly random and doesn't even really seem that great.

and i'm too lazy. I hate Itunes... damn ipods.

my wifes aveo is running a single mtx 10" on the stock deck. it is using kenwood speakers. its not a show winning setup, but its pretty clean and sounds good considering i only have about 150 bucks in the whole set up.

stock decks can be clean esp if you get some low power high efficiency speakers that are of decent build. may not be the ideal set up, but if you are low on cash or just like the simplicity of a factory deck, meh, it works.

Mines the opposite. My ipod sounds 100 times better than any CD.

And my car had the CD-eating problem also, took it back to Toyota and they got me a new CD player. This was in January, so it's worked good so far. =)

same here, an mp3 on aux doesnt seem as natural sounding, seems like its being converted... Dead and low... unless someone has a fix for this?

the mp3 player's EQ also play in the sound.. so you might want to check that out and turn off any EQ on the mp3 player if you have not done so.

I upgraded from a $25 aux cab to a $70 aux cable and now it is damn near on par with the CD player sound quality... also depends on the MP3 player
