Dunno about that Fit. The front becomes low and extended. I like the overall "bubbly" look of the Yaris.

Different strokes, but I think the Fit is ugly! And this from the owner of an Odyssey!

But that's just my opinion, I hope it is everything you hope it is!

Cheers! M2

We / I plan to check out the NISSAN " Cube " soon as it arrives . Late spring ? What yeh expect from a SQUARE ? It's hip to be square , did have a '06 SCION XB once , a close cousin to the YARIS Liftback .

I think the ESC can be turned on & off. No color is going to please everybody of course, but I do love the orange revolution metallic. (As I always say, 'why fit in when you can stand out?') I never liked the looks of the original Phit, but I absolutely love the redesign. It is evolutionary, not revolutionary. I've not read one review (and I did a LOT of research on this car) which did not love what Honda improved with the Phit. It is the economy car against which all others must be judged.

Driving the "Phit" (I don't know why, but I really like that spelling!) really sold me. As a Yaris owner, I was able to do a good comparison, and the Phit really felt more solid, and MUCH more quite. The audio system sounds wonderful, and the Navigation system is easy and very intuitive. I also love the "magic seats". The back seats (where you plant your butt) can flip UP, giving you lots of flat floor space to put a bike, or other tall items. (There is also a "secret" storage bin under the back seat to store a radar detector, or other things you want to hide. (Shhh....) When you fold the back seats DOWN, they fold completely flat, and the room is astounding. It is VERY well designed, and very space efficient. I love all the safety features as well.

The "modifications" I am planning are minimal. I would like to get an electric sunroof, wheel locks, and more powerful halogen bulbs for the headlights. (Not HID, just stronger, brighter bulbs) Beyond that, I have already spent enough money, so that's about it!

I still love the Yaris, but I am thrilled to be getting the 2009 Phit. I will post photos, and I will report on gas mileage!

Be careful installing "more powerful halogen bulbs for the headlights" ...... do the homework and make sure you do not burn up the wiring harness.

Here's a tip..... adjust the headlights up just a touch and see if that helps.

Welcome to Yaris / Fit owners club Bobby!

I have a 2009 Tidewater Blue Metallic Fit and I LOVE it!

You will be very impressed with the mileage. I got 46.6 MPG at 65 MPH using only cruise control on a 250 mile round trip on the highway.

I wish I had opted for the Sport with Navi. We just got the Sport.

The new Fit is growing on me. The only thing I don't like about the car is the rear end. The rest is cool.

Congrats on your purchase!

When I sell my Yaris next year, I would love to get the exact Fit that you chose. Same color with Navi! Hopefully they will have the glass roof option available then!

I know you are going to love it!

With the stronger, brighter, more powerful bulbs, I'll also buy the heavy-duty wiring harness, which is recommended. I put the stronger bulbs in my Yaris, and I'm very happy with the way it lights up the road...and they're not so bright that they blind people. I chose the Nokya 'Arctic White' bulbs, and they are so superior to the stock bulbs.

a new harness won't be needed . If you buy the WAGNER or off brands then you're asking for trouble , I know this by experience . We've been using the regular SILVERSTAR and ULTRA for years now without too many problems . If you have daytime running lights they will shorten the life of these , I've had to replace the SILVERSTAR about every year and and a 1/2 with daytime running lights . They seem to blow when it gets colder in late NOVEMBER , DECEMBER . If you can get SILVERSTAR at 1/2 price , then worth it . PEPBOYS seems to have these on sale the most , followed by ADVANCE AUTO PARTS . Go to SYLVANIA's website and you will find a printable mail-in rebate online , go here http://www.sylvania.com/content/disp...x?id=003697635 . TAKE CARE

The new Fit is a nice car, but way too expensive. The Fit and Yaris are SUPPOSED to be ECONOMY cars.

Ido agree unless you pay under 13000.00 you pay way too much for entray level autocar. You can get used 2005 VW toureg for 15 with no miles!!! and lether seat in 4 places

Exactly why I am driving a Yaris and not a Fit- one fit my budget and the other didn't. If I wanted to spend that much I'd also have looked at a Corolla.
