We work longer hours for 9 workdays and then get every other Friday off. End-of-year crunch is loading up more work than I can get done in those 9 days.

I've got to travel to Washington D.C. the first week of Jan for work so I am also preparing my briefing materials.

You sound like you're VERY busy.

It would be difficult with the girls, but I think I would enjoy a career where some travel was necessary.

Travel is fun if it's not constant. It gets me away from multitasking 8 things to concentrating on just one thing.

It is harder on family people and impossible for single parents.

I'm not complaining, I HAD to go to Rome for a week this past February.

I did! I actually went to bed right after I posted that. =) It gets to be around 10 pm here during the week and I struggle to stay awake. In my defense, a daily 4:30 am alarm contributes.

Date got cancelled because of all of the snow. Still talking to her. Ugh.

Took me an hour and a half to drive home. At one point, we were all at a dead stop on the highway because nobody could see.
