Hey guys,
I really enjoyed reading your comments on my 150k in 1yr. I will post a video clip of the odometer while driving as it was going from 149999 to 150000 for those of you non believers probably later tonight. I have pics of when it did 100k miles and I have pics and a video clip of it doing 150k miles. Yes, it is possible to do this amount of mileage in 1yr. I live in Florida. I use to drive from Miami to Tampa and back 5 nights a week for about 9 months. The drive was 7hrs to and from. An average of 550miles/nightly. Plus I drove the car during the day running around in the daytime b4 I go to Tampa at night. So figure and average of 600miles/daily. Now I drive from Fort Lauderdale to Jupiter twice a day and then from Fort Lauderdale to Naples in the evening. That's an average of 550/daily. I drive from 9am - 11pm Monday - Saturday. I do a lot of highway driving. I still have the original clutch and accessory belt on the car. The brake pads and rotors are like brand new and still has not even begun to cut as yet. I have gone through 3 sets of tires and are now on my 4th set. I got 75000miles from a set of Kumho. I rotate my tires every oil change, which is every 2 weeks. I buy my Toyota Oil Filters, Syntethic Oil and Oil Stabilizer wholesale. I use 3qts of 5W-30 syntethic oil and 1qt of oil stabilizer every oil change. The only thing that I have ever changed on the car is the spark plugs at 100k miles. I already spoke to Toyota Corp of America, and I'm awaiting a response from them as to what they can do for me. One thing I forgot to mention, the first day I got the car from the Toyota dealership, I went home, got ready for work and headed straight to Tampa. I put 600miles on the car in the first night. I drove the car @ 80mph fom 7hr straight without turning off the engine until I got back home. If anyone of you guys drive my Yaris, you will definitely say positive things about it after driving it. My yaris runs like no other Yaris I have ever come across. |

I use to deliver unprocessed checks for Bank of America from one processng center in Miami to another in Tampa from April 2006 - April 2007. Now I pickup specimen from several clinics all over south Florida for a labatory from April 2007 to present day. In case you guys are wondering, the $$$ is well worth it. And the $$$ I saved on gas on a monthly basis by using this Yaris, I actually saved $$$ by buying this Yaris. I get anywhere from 40mpg@80mph to 50mpg@70mph highway driving. I do very little city driving. I use to spend $1600/monthly on gas using a 2000 Mazda Protege that I still have with 400,000 miles on it and never touched the engine except for maintenence reasons. With the Yaris I put $1200/montly. That's $400 savings on gas which is the same as a montly car payment.

150,000 miles is feasable in 1 year I would think. Now one time this guy told me he drove 975,000 miles in 3 months in his big rig and he expected me to believe that. He still to this day says he did it even though he would have had to average 451 mph the whole time driving 24 hours a day hahahahha, some people are just stupid but this guy seems like he may be honest about it.

Here's the long awaited video clip of the Yaris going from 149,999 to 150k. This video was taken while I was driving on the Florida Turnpike. If you listen carefully, you can hear the cars and trucks go by as I pull over onto the shoulder.

Nope, I use to drive 550 miles in 7 hours in one night from Miami to Tampa and back. Now I drive 550 miles a from Fort Lauderdale to Jupiter and back twice and then from Fort Lauderdale to Naples once. Now I drive from 9am - 11pm/6 days a week with a 2.5 hour lunch break.

either you've wasted a lot of time faking proof... or, you've got a TON of miles on your yaris ... either way... welcome to YW... i suspect people were skeptical because your first post was (on the surface) unbelievable...
please keep us updated on mileage, and work done on your car... a lot of us hope to drive the wheels of our yari ... you will make for an excellent benchmark... |
