Does your yaris Engine and air box shake???
i've noticed that the air box shakes quite profusely when idle.....
it(the air box) at least vibrates 3cm up and down the engines shakes too, and sounds loud can you upload vidoes on this forum? i would love to show you guys. -Yawesh Last edited by Yawesh; 12-13-2008 at 01:34 PM. |

Yes, it shakes. More if you have the A/C running. From what I understand is:
1) Its small 4-banger and so they're know to be a bit shaky 2) It sits on gel motor mounts so that way it doesn't transfer the vibration to the cabin. So, don't worry about it. If your steering wheel and shifter begin to shake while idling, then there would be a reason for some concern. |

Ya mine is doing it also in idle in drive but goes away in park from the engine shifting back.

Well there also is the case that Toyota's in general have valve chatter, its a normal thing. they just idle a bit louder than other cars out there.
