New Tyre Day!

Bought some new tyres today: Zeetex HP102+ (205/50/16, 300AA, W performance rated). Never heard of them until this week, but apparently a popular affordable tire in overseas markets, and sold in only a few places here in the States.

I’ve been running Nitto NeoGens, and I’d have to say they are absolutely the best handling road tyre I’ve ever experienced, but somewhat noisy right out of the box.

The NeoGens are getting a little tired, so I chose these Zeetex tyres because they are reported to offer exceptional handling, and a comfortable, quiet ride.

I’ll get the dealer to install them tomorrow, and then I’m off to California on Thursday… a 2600 mile trip in the little Vitz!

Had the tyres installed/balanced early this morning at the local Toyota Dealer for $49.99.

Tyres are super smoooth and ridiculously quiet! Can't really comment on the handling yet.

very interesting and non aggressive looking tread, makes sense they are quiet...looks like they would be...can't wait to hear on the handling.

With over 3000 miles on these tyres, they are surprisingly stable and quiet. They handle very well (not outstanding) in dry conditions. Don't know about wet conditions yet. Doesn't rain much in Southern California. So far, I like them a lot.
