ya, thats what im talking about. thats how it is now, no "clear standard to enforce, allowing them to make subjective judgments on whether or not a modified exhaust system is in violation."
I dont see how this is much different that how the cops treat altered exhausts here now... there is no clear standard, and has not been for years.

Then guess you'll be holding your receipt for your TRD exhaust to not get an altered exhaust ticket.

That pretty much means, get a ticket and fight it in the courts. The courts/judicial system are there to interperate the laws.
The police are part of the executive system, their only job is to enforce them. They don't have to know how to interperate them, or what they mean, they just enforce.

I drive down to the court and ask the woman behind the counter for a new date as I never got the old one in the mail. she nicely takes my paperwork and goes into a room.. like 10 minutes later she comes back all pissed off.. 'I cant give you once because your mailing address is the same as the one I have on file for you, so you must have got it.' so I say 'how am I supposed to be responsable for the mail??' and she gets all huffy and says 'im not debating this with you sir!' ....

So, I go back down to the dmv and he asks me if I got a new date. I say no, and he goes 'I have never heard of that happening before. every time they request a new date people get them.' so the cop fixed my ticket so I couldnt get a new court date, he really screwed me over!!!! I ended up getting the late fee removed though, but I have this stuid violation on my record for 4 years and my premimums went up...........

Sorry to hear that bro i have to say the most moronic institution and employees work in the DMV, and courts? forget it if you have a case you end up paying anyway.

Its true where I live at the moment. I see 1,000s of rustangs merrily running wild and never see one get nabbed. Meanwhile the poor riceboys in the crapped out Civics get it daily just from my observation.

Also have NEVER seen a motorcycle pulled over NEVER.

I think you never see bikes pulled over cause they get away. LOL

Seeming that I have been in law enforcement I take offense to that. I have ran cars with cut exhuast and have had no problems. Shoot I ran a car open header for a day and drove by officers with no problems. Plus I dont like donuts and I know alot of officers that dont. That is just what movies and the media have done to put down law enforcement officers. Dont do anything bad and they wont mess with you. Ok first of all... if those crapped out Civics are getting pulled over, don't you think they should be? I know there's should be an amount of respect for ones creativity but when crap is crap *shrug*
