Have you guys tried fitting in JDM parts on your Yaris?

The Cusco 4 point lower brace is listed for both japanese and american NCP91s... this at least is the same... lol

/but i'd put money on it that most components will be compatable other than body parts/panels, which are different due to crash standards... but even then Japan has been really tightening up on their crash standards. It is in a company's best interest to homoginize its production, as it saves money in tooling. Also, note that the Yaris is manufactured in Japan rather than the United States...

Yup, I know that. THey have been test fitted to make sure it fits..

the Yaris was design as a worldwide car, unlike the previous echo hatch and honda fit that is retrofitted with USDM standards so that the car can be sold here.

all the JDM parts i got bolts right on (except for the taillight, but even the non RS in Japan had to be retrofitted)

looks like -1.8 front and -2.0 in back from my guestimations. I've never heard of tanabe before.

Thats weird, Tanabe is more involved in motorsports than TEIN.

I've seen tein on some wrcs but never tanabe. I guess its more street stuff. I heard that the US Yaris hatch didn't come with a rear sway bar. I haven't had a chance to look. Am I right?

No rear sway bar on eithe the hatch or sedan.. but it's not bad.

youll see tein on some japanese rally cars, but none at the top level.. the tein rally suspension is only meant for rallyx, or autox on dirt..i havent seen teins on other race cars.

tanabe is on a few drift cars in D1.. like Chris Forsbergs' car, and the Signal cars. i havent seen tanabe on a rally car just yet.

How much of a pain in the ass and how long does it take to swap out to lower/raise? The more I think about it actually the less I am worried about it because I could lower/raise when winter ends and fall ends....but then again I might not have to worry about it because I could just drive my 'Cel during the winter instead and park the Y.....so many thoughts....so little time.

I have the TRD springs coming in this week, but the coilovers would be a nice upgrade for the future. Are these EDFC compatible?
