one off = one of a kind, not produced in quantity.

That says nothing of a hatchback. But since were gonna put up Eddie Runner's text as scientific proof...here's another one by him with many vehicles. Every vehicle showed better response and volume with the sub faced to the rear.

Well Thanks for all the arguing and testing and fun stuff, but I don't really care about sound waves and perfectly mounting them in the right direction. I just want it to look cool and I want my music to have that little extra bass. I don't crank it up and I don't compete, so it's all good. I'll post more pictures here when I get this thing done. Stupid rain won't let up and I can't work on it in the house. So it might take a bit.

Its not so much a right and wrong direction. As I said...I've mounted many subs facing upwards and the results were great. What really matters in the end though is whether or not your happy with the sound. Rain sucks to work in but on the bright side of things...you have warm weather year round to get your fiberglass projects done

For anyone still reading this thread ^_^ .V..
Just some updated pics on this hella cool Vitz Sub Box. It's taking a long time cause I have to work on it in between work and sleep and stuff, but it's all worth it. I put glue on the fabric today at work and it's coming along awesomely. I'll post more pics when I start fiberglassing the top section, And of course when it's all done.

Here is what it is going to look like when all is said and done. I still have more layers to go on top, and one final layer to go all the way around to make it a little more rigid as one piece. The amp is going to go under the passenger seat. All the wires will be hidden of course. Can't wait to hear it! Then I shall cover it with some kind of fabric (whatever I use to redo my door panels) Anyway just thought I'd share the progress. Keep it real.

Finished...HACKED!
I was just informed that I had no finished pics of this project on this thread anymore because of that F#$%ing Hack. So here they are...
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() PS. I am trying to sell this thing (with amp and speakers) locally if possible (150 miles or so I am willing to drive and drop it off) unless someone wants to deal with shipping. I am looking for 400 for the whole package (box, speakers ESA 12" and amp 760 watt pioneer) This thing hits hard even with my crappy no name brand speakers. It will fit in an 07 Hatchback with 60/40 back seats. Not sure whether it will fit the one-piece back seat version? Anyone know?

The final product looks good. Why go through all of that effort just to sell the whole system??

Well I've been riding with this system for about a year and a half and need the money now. Plus I'd like to make a new one a little bit differently some time in the future. Let me know if someone you know wants to buy it :)
