T Sport tail lights? - Page 5 - Toyota Yaris Forums

ok... i'm not the one to post the updates on this, but i had to let this one out...

the "car-side" harness swap idea is actually pretty feasable all of a sudden (or i think it is). anywaiz, i surfed around and found this little $7 item:

^basically, it looks like an adaptor of some sort to fit the jdm RS tails to the usdm/non-rs "car-side" (a.k.a. "body-side").

Nice finding.. Since the picture doesn't have the back side of the adapter.. so it is hard to verified if it can fit U.S. Plug.

BTW.. they sell T-sport LED for $280

my wrong.. it is not the adapter.. it is just the plug...

So any update on the group buy? I'm in for one pair too!

I think getting either a female (light side) or male (body side) connection will do the work, you just need to know which wire pairs up with which.

However, got a question, the LED taillight doesn't seem to have the running light? (The tail light is suppose to be on when the car is running at night).

for ease of replacement back to originals (for reasons beyond me- maybe in case they break?), id go for the femaile plug, so the body-side could remain stock.

anywaiz, the led taillight uses the leds for the stop lights and running lights, using dual-intensity leds (similar to dual-filament incandecant bulbs).

Yes - depending on just how much more expensive.

japanparts.com has them for $330 US plus shipping and "surcharge".
