Out of curiosity which dealership was it? You're not too far from me, and if there's a dealer who's willing to look up my VIN in the area I'd like to know.

I got the recall notice in the mail yesterday. I'll be taking her in next week...sounds like an easy fix.

I had mine done on Thursday. It didn't take them long at all. Mine only had to have one of the recall items done. They removed the foam from the B pillars. No pain and no fuss. No problems and no smells for mine.

Mine took about 45 minutes for them to do, didnt see any other yarises there getting it done. But if this did increase the road noise I havent heard any difference. Also no smell. Maybe just lucky, I had to go in again a week later to get the water pump replaced due to leaking. Which my coolant was at min when i took it in. That took 2 hours, and they put my underbody panels on wrong.

your car smell bad maybe because the day they were working in your car, some other mech were using paint thinner on other car.

but guys.. i was watching them doing this one, and it does take some massive digging to take it out. they do not remove the seat-belt to remove the cover...

Such a nice response - All cars have foam - What do you sit on - A milk carton....

Shot? Holy smokes...

I've driven a lot of automobiles in my years - Dollar for Dollar - It's good deal - I have 2 Toyota's and will probably never by anything else... Except for a Pickup! Because Toyota don't have diesel pickups in Canada! and at my age - I need to think about pulling a fifth wheel - My Toy Hauler!

it's a chemical reaction of the foam not the foams fault or toyota's just poor fabrication technique.....of whoever sold the foam to toyota.....

Is there a TSB out related to this issue? It would be nice to add it here.
