the AFE has the heat shield, the CAI goes down which COULD cause hydrolock if you got a lot of water in it.

Or you could get a carbon fiber intake. kargoboy (yarisuniverse) has one left!

I would do the AFE. I had the AEM for a while and had problems with getting the filter wet and eerything was installed as it should be.

^ I did the same thing and didn't use mesh. I used a utility knife to cut mine out

The people who've done this for brake duct cooling added dryer vent hose or similar to direct the air; I'm just gonna cut the slots out and go from there.

I bought 10' of RV sewer hose.

Since my engine is sucking air from inside the bumper i didn't use any ducting. I might go back and put in some later on but I figure for on that will help air circulate in ther more than before
