Where do you guys put your ipod??

I recently bought a '09 yaris sedan and I love it.
I just want to ask one thing,
I connect mine to the car with an AUX cable,
and I want to have something that keep my ipod in reach,
so that I can change songs easily.
But the dashboard is right in the middle,
the power outlet is placed in a weird position.
so most of the car mount in store doesn't do the job
(will block the dashboard or my ipod would be in a position that is hard to see while driving)
I just wanna know where do you guys put your ipod?
What car mount or holder do you guys use?
Thx.

I use a vent-mounted cell phone holder.... does the trick for me :]
I've also seen a ipod mount that fits in a cup holder... that may work real well!

I put mine in the slot next to the parking brake lever.

I never cared for where the aux jack is located in the sedans. It is out of the way, but it's on the passenger side, which does make it a bit of a pain. I just keep the ipod in the little cubby that the jack is located in. When I use it I place it near the parking brake and hope it doesn't slip between the seats. I've also gotten used to putting an album on at the beginning of a trip and listening to it until the trip is over, (or at least until I get to a red light.)

There really are no easy places to mount an ipod for ease of use in the sedans that I can think of. At least the liftbacks have the slots near the parking brake...

I just lay mine on the passenger seat when I'm alone.

When I have a passenger, I'll either put in the cup holder or lay it right under the e-brake handle (it does fit flat with brake down).

Like Phaeton....I place mine in the slot next to the brake lever. It sits there just fine and is easily accessible.

In my glove box.

Then again, I have a after market headunit that allows for a direct connect ipod cable, which I also have

yeah but my pioneer does not always play nice with my old iPod Photo, doesn't recognize it at all sometimes, and it's slooooow to scroll through songs...

A DIY minded person could probably relocate the aux jack and put on some kind of mount on the glove box door area...

In my LB the aux jack is on the center console ahead of the break lever. I keep the Mp3 player in the slot by the lever.

Target had a Belkin 3 ft retractable car stereo cable for $13. It was worth the extra price to be able to lengthen and shorten the cable as needed with a quick tug. At a light or stop sign, I set the Mp3 on the steering wheel and quickly change to the album or folder, and then hit play all. With a quick tug, it starts to recoil and I drop it back into the center console cubby for the rest of the trip.

You can get matching retractable headphones from http://www.brookstone.com

The Toyota Dealership has the retractable 3' ipod cable for $8.99 . I switched my foglight button with my aux jack b/c it is closer to slot near e-brake .

I usually just stick it on the passenger seat because its always just me in my car. I have not figured out a better spot yet.
