Buy it offline then.
$2.19 per quart of 5W-20: http://www.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=5202377 But seriously, what is a few bucks extra every oil change -- even if you change it every two months. $30.00 dollars more a year? Big deal, this isn't 1982. Things cost more now, lol.

good idea, but wrong oil. that's 5-20, not 5-30. I wish the Yaris used 5-20 since that oil is about $4 a quart lower in most area for some unknown reason (probably customer demand)

Toyota recommends 0W-20 (mainly for fuel consumption reasons) but a high quality 5W-30 is fine, too. My dealer dont even has 0W-20 so they use genuine 5W-30. |

if this is the case, the manual says 0w-20 is recommended because of the fuel consumption and cold starts.the manual states that if 0w-20 isn't availble you can use 5w-30 but it needs replacement in the next service interval.SL or SM is good. but one thing bugs me-why can't we continue to use 5w-30?

I'm in Florida too. Advance is having a deal for Royal Purple synthetic 5W-20. 5 quarts plus a K&N filter for $40. Not bad for synthetic oil and not having to change it for another 10,000 miles.

WAL-MART has 5 quart jugs of PENNZOIL Platinum for $19.99 . That's 5w-20 , 5w-30 , and 10w-30 . Have seen 7,000 > 10,000 mile U.O.A.s for all these weights with very good results . That's $4 a quart , well worth the money .

M1 can be bought in the 5 gal jug at Wal-mart for a good price as well...the filter is what can catch you up and give you a migraine if you really start to research them especially once you see that the bulk of them are absolute trash even for the "premium" brands.

I use it on my low pressure steam pistons |

I change my own oil using synthetic 5W-30 (PP or M1) and Toyota filters. Costs me ~$20 and 30 minutes each time.
