If you look more at the fine print it says "where applicable" Which means its really just there to put more value to what you are getting. Some people are going to think wow they top off my fluids, check my tire pressure, and LUBE my car, I dont know what it is but it sounds better than the other place which is just a oil and filter only.
90 percent of most cars done require any lube. All lube shops put it on thier coupon so what happens no one wants to take it off their coupon even though modern day cars no longer have servicible fittings. To be honest my shop has the same thing on our coupon and i dont think we even own a grease gun.

You may get a "lube job" from the dealer, but it isn't going to be the kind you are gonna like!

They prefer doing it without lube.

Just a quick point of interest here. If you think all "lube shops" are rip off joints, you might check out www.aoca.org and educate yourselves. Also, you can check out www.noln.net. Just like anything else in life, there are qualified, professional lube shops and then there are shady facilities. Don't lump them all into one category. Thanks.

Well, around here, my view of chain quick lubes is that maybe they're not rip-offs, just too lazy instead. Almost every hood I open that's just visited a quick lube is low on coolant, brake fluid and p/s fluid more often than not...and drain plug gasket is either cracked or missing, but they sure can remember to place the blue or yellow snot all over the filter and drain plug though.
