I can tell you though that this type of panel/enclosure does indeed work for my L8. The bass response gained was very noticable...and nice!

I'd offer to make them for you...perhaps we can work something through the shop for the baffles and you can glass them in to a kick. You know I can do it as well since we essentially have the same vehicle.
Thanks

The free air concept is interesting, but first I need to get my hands on a pair of L6s used, because I probably won't spend the $$ in new ones)

or I'll go for other 6.5 driver that requires a very small enclosure

Man I was so close to hit the "send money" to HAT for a pair of L6s when I decided to go to my car and check the floor over the front wheel wells all that area is sealed and treated like hell with MAT, CLD Tiles, Foam and MLV... should I take all that out? many hours deadening that area, I know I'm drooling for the L6s but is it worth the effort now?

3 layers of Mat at the wheel wells... hard to tell where the holes are, but I'll look into installation photos.

I'm twisting my arm all the way it's hard to say no to a pair of L6s sounds to me like another challenge?

lets see what happens tomorrow, I may not be very lucky since there where only 4 left (L6s)

Never used that for sound deadening. What we refer to as a milkshake is bondo and resin mixed together.

What is a milkshake in reference to sound deadedning?
How in your opinion, how should it be applied to A-pillars and mid bass kick pods?
My answer is lead shot, sand, and resin (for materials).
What do some of you have in mind?
Interesting...
