Micro Image branded springs

Hey everyone,

we have an opportunity to produce our own springs.

I would like you to post up your optimum drop and front/rear spring rate, so I can get a feel for what choices to make.

I can't do more than one at this time, so I want to be careful to please as many customers as possible.

your thoughts?

hmm...where to begin. I would prefer something slightly stiffer than what TRD offers. A 2" drop would be ideal.

Make 'em like the Autocross-tested Progress I'm running:

-Front drop: 1.7" --- Rear drop: 1.8"
-Front rate: 110 lbs/in --- Rear rate: 130 lbs/in (not sure how to measure this in K)

It's stiff as hell, corners on a dime, zero rubbing, and zero bottoming-out

if i were to make my own spring, id do something that no one else has

since you basically sell springs for every kind of drop from 1.2 to 1.9 inches, id probably offer a SUPER LOW spring- like a 2.2-2.5 inch drop all around with an appropriately stiff spring rate.

if i had to choose, it would be like a 7k f 5k r rate.

of course this is just me but when there are so many options out there, why not capture a section of the market that no one else touches? i know a lot of people want to go that low but dont want to buy coilovers

the biggest thing im concerned about when i look at springs is making sure the rear doesnt drop lower than the front.

I like how the DFs sit, just wish they were stiffer.

2 1/4" to 2.5" would be GREAT. getting tired of not being low enough on the s. Techs and cannot afford coilovers.

Maybe start a poll to keep it organized?

1.5 - 1.75
1.75 - 2
2 - 2.5

.... Thn go from there after the votes come in. Just a thought :)

I'm in the market right now...

I was going to pick up some TRD springs off another owner. I'm not looking for something that will destroy my OEM suspension. I would like something close to the TRD offering, yet wouldn't affect everything else negatively. A little more of a drop is cool if I don't have to modify my fenders.

What's the time frame on this?

it looks like a lot of people who want to go low are already on the stechs and want to go lower.

im totally in for something that drops 2.2-2.5 inches all around.

preferably a little lower in the front so my suspension wont be uneven with cargo or passengers in the rear

The pics in your garage don't look like 3" - what are TRD 3" springs anyways.
